Colleagues of Hope Achieving Maximum Potential.
Colleagues are best known as business/office partners, or those who have common goals working together to see them manifest. While changing the narrative of how these young people begin to see themselves in group settings, these group sessions are an attempt to create peer support and empathy within a community of individuals striving to reach certain common milestones and aspirations. In group sessions we are looking to address eight principles and particular strengths that will give each individual an opportunity to achieve their maximum potential. These principles, social determinants of health, are known as the
Optimal Opportunity Octagon, and they are:
Mental (Cognitive Excellence)
Therefore as we create community and peer support amongst at risk, high risk, and in Hope student individuals striving for some of the same envisioned opportunities, it is our intention to help each individual overcome internal, environmental, cultural, and historical opponents contending against their dreams and possibilities; while Hope is being built, as a community, we strive to see each individual through group curriculum, peer counseling, inspired and critical conversations, and both physical and psychological tools, with support and assistance, have portals open to catapult each participant to achieve their maximum potential and live out their God-breathed purpose.
